This is perfect!!! Thnx HJ60! You're the same person from the "weldingpost" am i right?

I think i sort of get the wiringdiagram. But i'm not 100% sure, and i'm afraid that if i'm wrong, everything melts away like cheese in a toaster! Might be a good idea to wire it like above, but don't connect it. Then drive to the nearest landcruiser specialist and ask them. Not like i need a glowingsystem at this time of the year. My engine still has enough pressure to start in 0.1 seconds even when cold during summers.

I managed to get it stearing, breaking, clutching(I'm not sure that's even a word) and apart from the front panel and the front seats i'm almost there! can't wait to drive it for the first time!!!!:)

Hi Thomas, yes there is only one hj 60 :D
What you need is the glow plug relay and the stuff located on the inside front fender near the airfilter.
In the cabin behind the passenger kick board is also a pre heating timer box you need as far as I know.

You might miss the start signal (to start the preglowing circus) from the new wire loom when you turn the key.
I dont know what year of trucks you are exactly swapping but it does not sound like you can just reconnect the boxes and wire- connections.
I dont know if a paid mecanic will help you out (I mean how much hours do you want to pay?) If you want you can come over and check the wires and boxes in my hj60 ('85)

So the easy way is a manual switch (12V on 14V glowplug, or 3 seconds 24 in winter) invented by the guy below, He will be proud of you
Just use a relay to send 12V to the busbar but they will use some big amount of power: 6 glowplugs and two air pre heaters=a lot

HI Thomas88. I just caught up to this build, way to go! I wish you the best of luck getting it all running soon. I have a query, did the original truck have the barn doors on the back? I can't tell for sure from the pictures. If it did, are you going to put them back on? In North America they were never an option, I always thought even though we got diesels in Canada, I sure wish we got the barn doors too.

What an awesome project.

Don't forget to douse the inner body and frame with some kind of fishoil or other sticky lubricant to keep the rust at bay, once it's all painted and ready.
And you might want to have a look at the inner roof too, they love to rust.

Hi there everybody!

Rebuilding is a fun project, too bad my phone,my tablet and my laptop didn't survive the project:( so sorry for people waiting on more pics and messages, I've been offline for about 2 weeks.

The car is actually pretty much done! Road legal and an awesome ride! As soon as I have the chance I will post the most recent pictures! Thanx for all the people who gave me perfect advice!

It's not over yet of course! It still needs a very decent paint job, but it's seems that it will take a few more weeks as I'm currently studying again. I'm still not sure what the color will be, but I'll think off something nice that I haven't seen before;)

Again: pictures will come soon!!!!!!:)

So is there any recommend kits or can a cheap eBay work. There one for $40 in Australia for two breather point. If I have to replace the fitting on the diff what size do I need? Or can I use the ones in there?

As per suggestion above might be easier just to by zip ties and 8mm plasitc tube.

Good morning!

I'll try to post a pic with my tablet so here it is:

Mean the body lift?
