thinking about goofy leaf, buggy spring whatever you want to call them in the rear of my fj40. any thoughts about these. good, bad, it helps. i want o hear them all. just need some opinions and if you have done it lets see some pics.

IMHO a waste of time.

I've seen them unload a lot on asscents and decents if you don't run a limiting strap.

hmmm, any suggestions for the rear, the issue at hand is i dont like the stress on the spring when its flexed out and the rear comes off the ground and i know it could go more. i thought a bout revolver shackles but dont know. any help greatly appreciated. thanks guys

ya know..........treerootCO has some funky cantilever shackles from downey off road.
pretty sure he has no problem......

i'm gonna go check out the downey site.. ;)

I've never liked them...black magic stuff. Seem to unload nicely going down hill and dropping off ledges. Like to open up and cause alot of bouncing when climbing ledges. Have a friend with a mini truck now that has them and the axle trys to walk under his rig since he does not have a anti-wrap bar. They're like the medicine adds on tv you see where it cures one thing but causes 20 other bad symptoms.
Flex is over rated, chics digs tires in the air :grinpimp:

Downey's shackles do not open well at all from what I have seen. Although, they do give you a nice road ride from the Shackle angle ;)
