Havent updated in a while. Thought I would throw a few photos up of some of the slow progress.

Removed the factory sound deadener from the rear floor. Dry ice method works well:

Towards the end I got the method down and I could get it off in huge chunks. Ill be removing this from under the seats as well in prep for spray in liner:

New wheel wells are almost dont. I have some small places to patch and im going to clean it all up and fill all the misc holes I am not using anymore. Once the bedliner is sprayed it should look pretty good:

Installed the 6" IRONMAN coils up front and some 2" IRONMAN coils with 1.25" spacers in the rear. Rear is still a tad low for my taste. Ill be swapping in 3.5" TJM coils in their place. (2" IRONMAN coils will be for sale, about a week of use on them) I also finished trimming the fenders and cleaning up the edge. Took as much as possible out in the front without exposing the inner fender too much, and as much as possible in the rear without getting into the door. Cant have TOO much clearance. Ill probably be running 38-40's at some point down the line:

I think it may be wrong how much I love that bob job!

Sweet.

I need to get some shocks and extend my brake lines. Then it will at least be wheel able again. Radius arm flip, extending the lca's and adjustable uca's are last on my list. Then the suspension will be done... For now.

So if you continue your current pace....

Sometime next week?!? Awesome!

I didn't think of that. Would there be any issues with axle wrap with that configuration?

I wouldn't think so. For one, you're not changing the number of links or anything.

Also, several people down in Australia have done it, and all of them (that I've seen) have reported better handling/etc. You're flattening the link, which keeps it from move the axle around so much as it compresses/extends.

It *SHOULD* move the axle back some as well, though not by much. Flipping the front arms moves it about half an inch forward, so I'd imagine that it'd be similar for the rear arms since the rear axle is about as tall as the front axle.

I need to move the axle back just a bit anyway, so that wouldnt be a problem. The only thing I am concerned with is the wrap issue. But i thought you meant moving the bottom bracket to the top. but you actually mean moving it to the front of the axle? That makes more sense. You have any links to the aussie guys work?

Well, top front. Like where they are located now, but just flip them to the top.

I don't have a link to the thread, the forum might be gone. There were a couple Aussie ones, I thought it was on Outer Limits 4x4 Board • Index page but can't find it there.

I thought it was crankycruiser who did it. I found a couple threads where he was asking about it (due to the engineer folks wanting flatter links in the rear), but couldn't find any where he actually did it.

I found this pic, it looks like the arm is mounted above the axle, but it's not a great pic so it could just be the angle being deceptive. It also looks more front than top.

So in my ongoing attempt to save pennies on this build, I decided to forgo buying extended break lines and use an old mini truck trick. I took 2 stock rear brakes line from a 1985 Corolla and mated them with my OEM lines. Zip ties to keep everything situated while twisting it up. Also extended the front breather while I was under there. Everything has a little extra length now incase I gain some flex when I inevitably go to a 3-link. I flushed the brake fluid for like 100 pumps but im still getting bubbles in the front lines (I was getting these before as well) so I think I have a leak somewhere. Might have to let the pros take a look and see if they can find the leak.

Also finally got the front panhard in. Ill do the rear tomorrow. Had to take the whole front end apart to get a breaker bar long enough to pop the bolt out. I managed to tweak my steering wheel while installing it so its not centered anymore. Ill have to search how to fix that.

Yes I did see that one, thanks. However I currently don't have my ABS active because I torn a line so I took out the fuse.

I have the same problem, I damaged an ABS wire when I installed my lift, I pulled the fuse and never looked back, but since we still have all the associated ABS lines, that is a place where bubbles can collect.
