I am tracing wires and reassembling my 09/75 fj40. I am looking for the wires that connect to the brake pressure switches on the bottom of the brake master cylinder. I have a green male plug that has 3 wires colored Red/White, Green/White, and Green where does that connect to? This plug is located on the wire harness that comes out of the firewall right above the clutch master cylinder. Also located in the harness very close to the emission switch valve green male plugs and I have those wire colors as being Blue/Red, Blue/Yellow, Blue/Black, Black/Yellow and a single plug Blue/Orange.

Am I missing a section of wire that should connect the plug in question to the brake pressure switches? If not what connects to the brakes switches and what goes to the male plug with the red and 2 green wires?

I searched and look for this and have untangled many other wiring questions I had, but this one I can't figure out. Anyone have any photos of the factory wiring on the brakes switches?

Thanks for any help.

Bumping this thread because I have the same question, also the exact same month and year 40. On the same pigtail as my brake pressure switch are 2 extra wires that I don’t see in the wiring diagrams and it doesn’t seem like other models had them. One ends in a ring terminal that I assume should be grounded somewhere, maybe the washer bottle bracket screw? Not sure what the other one is for. Looks like was factory, still wrapped up in the factory harness and has a OEM style plug

Looks like the first plug with r/w wire goes to the brake switch, the second goes to the vacuum switching valve. Looks like the r/w wire goes to the pressure switches.

I have all that hooked up on my rig I could look and see what I have done. Later.
Following up on an older thread. I have a 3/76 and found the same male plug (red/white, green/white, green). I don't have my brake pressure warning switches wired and am curious to know how they are to be connected. Are you able to shoot a pic of your setup? I assume from the diagram that the red/white wire connects to the pressure switches but i'm not sure where the green, green/white wires come into play under the hood.

I have a 6/76 CA spec harness. Did anyone ever figure out what the other non-red wires go to from the photo in post #2?? I'm fairly certain the horseshoe looking connector goes to the EGR temperature sensor as this is how I found my harness connected. In the photo attached, my harness has the bare wire from post #2 with a connector, but I have no idea if it is stock or added later. Cruiserparts.net has the attached harness for sale: "Brake Warning System Wiring Harness for 73 to 76 40 Series" which shows a different type of connecter but similar setup. I contacted them to see if they had any more info but never got a response.
