Ok, I have an intermitant pedal throb when braking on my '84 FJ60. The disks and drums have already been turned to spec and the calipers are also fine according to my brake guy. What else could cause this? My guess is the master vac booster.......any other thoughts? Thanks

Loose front wheel bearings will cause pulsing brakes.

Brake booster failure/leak will give you a stiff pedal as your vacume assist is gone although if you are loosing vacume and regaining it it could feel like a pulse, but generally when a booster leak happenes it is leaking most of the time. check for your sources of even braking pressure ie master cylinder and proportioning valve

X2 - lift the front of your truck and shake the tire from top and bottom, if it moves it's time to pull it apart and check/replace/tighten the wheel bearings.
