Brake master and booster same FJ and HJ/BJ?

The brake master on my FJ73 is slowly failing, on ebay a bloke is selling a HJ/BJ7* master cylinder and booster, are they the same for the FJ model?

What year?

Master in HJ60 (till 88), FJ60, FJ62, BJ60 and BJ70 is the same. the boosters have differnt sizes, but all the same bolt pattern. If you have a clutch booster too, the biggest booster (I think from a HJ60 without clutch booster) will not fit. due to space limitations from the clutch booster.

Thanks mate, year I dont know, its just advertised as a HJ75/BJ70 unit. If it goes cheap I might buy it.

Regarding clutch boosters, I put a FJ62 clutch booster into my FJ73 and found the bolt pattern the same but the rod length was shorter and the angle of the vac connection different.

cool, the master will be the same then. and you are of course right on the small details of the boosters, but they all bolt up and can easily be made to fit.
