I have a 2016 Lc200 and am looking to get some new rims. I would like to get 17in rims because I think they look better when wrapped with a big tire, and they are a lot cheaper in the wheels I want. Will there be issues with the brake rotors rubbing on the wheels. I’ve seen mixed results when looking for info. Please lmk thanks!!

I have 17" ICON on a 16+ LC. No problem, but you do have to be careful where the tire tech installs the interior wheel weights (stick on weights), as the front calipers will hit them if they are in the wrong place.

Okay sweet, thank you!!

I guess it depends on and didn’t they made slightly bigger brake assemblies with later models?
At least Toyota send 200s out with 17“ steelies like my 2008 GX trim

16+ USDM LC's and LX's got the larger front brakes, not sure about other markets.

My 17” methods fit on my 2018 but I had problems with the wheel weight clearance so I used a heat gun to unstick them and move them.

I also had a rock or something jam between the wheel and caliper and leave a gouge 3/4 the way around the wheel within a month or two of installing them

Methods will clear but not a lot of room left. Like someone else mentioned above, if you travel a lot of gravel roads you might get something wedged between the caliper and rim.
