Anyone locally have a line on a brake booster for the drum brake and dual reservoir master cylinder? (vintage 70-75 fj40-fj55)

I am looking to get rid of the single reservoir setup.

I have a '74 FJ40 with the dual reservoir master, and very recently had to replace the original booster.

I used one from A1 Cardone, part number 53-5156, which is listed for a 1982 Toyota pickup. I had to cut a tiny bit off the rod, and acquire an inline vacuum check valve. It is working very well. It is a single diaphram booster like the original, and very close in size.

I decided on that booster from info in the Mud reading room.

I've got an unused rebuilt dual circuit master for a 74 minus the plastic reservoirs. Email me and I can send pictures.

very early models had a fin on the firewall that makes mounting a booster difficult

Claudia, I am lucky in that regard. I put a 72 tub on my 69 chassis years ago. In fact, I had to fabricate a plate in order to put my old 69 master cylinder on it.

Tim Hill has the rear brake line that snakes along the firewall, so that is one less thing to worry about.
