After a long search, I found a 100 about a mile from my house. 2003 with 86,000 miles in perfect condition. All services are documented and the 100 is completely stock. Time to let the fun begin.

Nice.

So shiny!!! :D

congrats on the purchase!

Great find! Looks like it is in good shape.

congrats ! I always love to see one getting saved from the Mall ! only in a LC would we be frothing at the month over 86k miles. : -)

Yea, it is funny to say only 86k. To put it in perspective, I was looking at 100s with 160k and 190k. This one fell into my lap. My wife said that I had to stop looking if I passed on this one. Said she was tired of hearing about them.

Anyway, it was an older woman's. she passed away awhile back and it had just been sitting in the garage. Her husband would drive it on Sundays to keep it running. It looks like it is two years old in the inside and out.

My three year old son has dubbed it the "adventure car"....

Awesome find. Do the 90k service and you're good for a long, long, long time.

Had to laugh about your wife's comment. My wife was so sick of me looking at land cruisers she probably would've been fine with me buying a new one or buying the biggest heap of junk just so I would stop pestering her. I knew we couldn't afford either extremes and luckily found an 06 with just under 45,000 miles.

When I bought my 100, my daily driver was a brand new Acura with 3,000 miles on it. When I told my girlfriend I found a 1998 with only 109k miles on it and I was going to get rid of the Acura she thought I had taken up smoking crack as a side hobby. Now that we've done multiple wheeling and camping trips and ski trips, she thinks it's the best move I've ever made :D

I think that's the first 03 black garnet pearl I've seen. Was thinking wasn't available until 06 for some reason. Love that color and its rarity.

What do you plan on doing with it? Planned mods?

Congrats and welcome!

I thought that could only happen to Barney on Andy Griffith.

Congrats on the great find!! Now you just gotta Plasti Dip the entire truck some other color :D

Said she was tired of hearing about them.

Man, this is just starting... after our purchase, my wife then had to hear all about bumpers, sliders, second tanks, etc... it just goes on and on.

Now, she is the one bringing stuff up... and buying stuff for the Cruiser. Gotta love a wife like that!:D

Looks great!

When I started shopping for my 100 (bought an '06 with 39,000 on it 2 years ago) I wanted black... til I saw the Garnet Pearl. Then, it was all I wanted. Found mine about 20 miles from home. Love the color!
