Too far north. Too far east.
I pulled the battery from the Ford 2N this afternoon. I didn't like what I saw. Dry cells and 0 volts. Still, I would like to try and see if the battery will take a charge. My battery charger is 12V only. Anybody have one I can borrow?

When I pulled the battery it was hooked up wrong. Should have been positive ground and it was hooked up as negative ground. Plus, it had a plastic cap on the "-" terminal under the cable clamp. Odd. I filled up one cell with water and it was so dry I'm wondering if the battery was ever filled with acid. I think I'll do some shopping for acid. The plates were very clean.

Tomorrow I'm going to jumper the starter and see if it turns.

My Battery charger says 6 and 12 V. If it helps you can use mine.

shopping for acid - I didn't know that you can buy acid for batts! I thought distilled water was alone to produce the acid after the catalytic reaction. Learned something new today!!

I bought a battery for a motorcycle through the mail. They shipped it empty and instructed me to go buy X amount of acid from the auto parts store to fill it. That's when I figured out how it worked.

All of our Polaris batteries come with a bottle of acid. Acid can be bought in 6qt bottles. I just need to find a parts store that sells it.

I have a 6v, 12v, 24v charger if you need it.
