Nice day outside, so I decided to mess around with the Canon.
Canon EOS 20D, UV Filter, Macro Lens, Canon EFS 18-55 Lens.

I will upload them all, then at the end - I messed around with some effects on some of my favorites, while I was waiting to upload. I had to edit these down, some were nearly 40MB in size, 3504x2336 resolution.

First, I found this cool old Cloverbloom Butter building, down by the Union Pacific Railroad.

Then I pulled forward to another cool looking building next to the railroad:

Nice pictures, of course keeep them coming.

Nice photos. Have you ever played with HDR, would be fun for a few of those, I know it's usally over done but it can create a stunning effect.

Was thinking the same. Too much stuff in most of these frames for HDR I would guess but a simple background of one of the block buildings w/ a 3/4 rear shot of the '45 would probably come out pretty good. I've only seen it used on glossy surfaced vehicles though so there's a big question in my mind about what "good" might be. Might want to run it by Digital Grin Photography Forum - Powered by vBulletin

Here's an example of the Biltmore House in HDR...

...and an older surface in HDR surreal mode:

Down side of HDR with some images is the color isn't anywhere near true, sometimes that is ok but often it generates a "cool" but not lasting engagement.

Other times when the color isn't known or doesn't matter the image retains a more lasting interest.

HDR then original. HDR done with Photomatix as the watermark shows.

Dallas, hope you don't mind the other photos in your thread ;)
