Was in Boone, NC this weekend and saw at least 4 cruisers for sale. 2 40's and a 60 at a car lot right up the street from a toyota dealership I believe it was on 221 and the other right on the main drag on 321 before you turn to go to the App. St campus.

I think the place on 321 you are talking about is High Country 4x4, I have a friend that used to work there and the last time I was there they had a couple of 40's for sale.

The one on 321 was just in a parking lot with a for sale sign on it. The ones on 221 were at some kind of 4 wheel place or something cause there were also some rovers and heeps and a couple jacked up trucks. Both 40's looked pretty sweet a red and a grey both were lifted or maybe SOA the grey one had a brush gaurd and some other extras. Didnt get a really good look beyond that. Sorry no pics we were doing about 35mph anyway so it wouldnt have mattered.

Was a shop just outside of beech mountain that bought and sold land cruisers years ago.

Thats the place I was thinking of, they always have a couple of Cruisers there. They had a 40 that sounds alot like the grey one described in the first post back in the early spring when I was up there for some trout fishing.

I'm heading up to boone this weekend and will try to check them out and take pics...R

I took these pics a couple of months ago. At the time they also had a blue 60 or 62 with some yellow flames in the hood and another yellow 40. The blue one is not for sale.

Nice defender...saw one of those on an 80 frame/drivetrain/etc. once. Looked cool.

Looked cool.

That's about it. I wouldn't have sold my 94 Defender to my worst enemy when I got rid of it. Good riddance!

Keep the D90, I'll take that 40 any day!!
