Granted, you can buy bolts at a hardware store but in some cases the head will not work/fit in some applications. Just Google JIS bolts, for info.
The 3 long bolts are well beyond both hardware store or mail order bolt house length.

Isn’t there 5 long ones, then 3 short ones that only go through the rear cover?

I don't know what the thread size, pitch or length is but McMaster-Carr sells them pretty long.

Not sure why this is so difficult....Toyota still sells them all. Why waste the run around?

Call my local parts guy at the Toyota dealership and he said those bolts are not available any longer. does anybody else have them?
I'm pretty sure I have them in my bucket-O-bolts up here in Prescott Valley if you want to come look.
