Bodyside molding (protecting the 200 in a parking lot)

What do you guys do to protect the side of your LC200? I know one of the nice things about my LX470 is that the step rail and bodyside clading protects it in a parking lot, I know someday I will buy a 200 but only if I can park it with piece of mind.

In the process of modifying the truck I've added a couple of scratches and dings while installing/uninstalling camping stuff that I don't stress so much about parking lots. I just added a couple more while removing the rear spoiler.:whoops:
 
How do you protect your Aston in parking lots? I just park further away. Besides, you burn a few more calories that way.
 
Big A$$ steel sliders from Slee. I pity the fool that opens his car door into my truck.


Oh yeah...a lift helps bring the slider to the mid point of an average car door.

I took that cladding off. Now I pity the fool that hits my door with their car.

How do you protect your Aston in parking lots? I just park further away. Besides, you burn a few more calories that way.

Park up on snow banks so nobody can get up to you.
 
I think I read somewhere that the bodyside molding attaches with double-sided tape. If that's true then it offers some nice mall cruising protection knowing that if someone really kills the molding with their door I can easily replace it. I'm definitely going to have to look at putting those slee sliders on though. I kinda like the idea of some guy damaging his own door if he opens it on my (hopefully soon to find) LC, not to mention the real protect they provide when off road.
 
I just bought the OEM Toyota body side moulding pieces in all black for $212 from a toyota dealer off ebay, Airport Toyota out of TN. The 4 pieces 100% do stick on the LC with pre-installed double sided tape. They are all black, with no chrome like the ones that come on the LX570. They can be ordered in any color to exactly match your LC. Airport Toy had black in stock, so I got them right away. I have not installed them yet, probably will do so this weekend.

Outside of the chrome trim, I suspect these are no different than the Lexus versions.
 
I'm curious to see an LC with fender flares too. Everytime I've asked a dealer what the fender flares look like they just shrug and say they look like any other set of fender flares... so yeah, not very helpful.
 
Dont do it!

Unless you space your wheels out 1" or more...with the current stock offset, it already looks goofy, with fender flares, it would look goofier.

Also, fender flares love to rub paint, collect mud, then rust out the fenders.
