Body Mounts

I’m helping someone with a 62 FJ45 SWB, he is looking for body mounts to replace all his old ones. Are there any kits that will crossover from a 40, or anything available for an early 45?

I used the Energy Suspension kit on my 74 40 but I don’t know if it would work on an early 45.

The Energy Suspension kit will work but you need two of them for an lob. I don't know if you can get away with only one on a short bed.

I used a rubber horse mat for the entire bed area and side steps. $30 at tractor supply.

Looks like I will need to go check out what he has and what he needs, maybe get him to buy one ES set and maybe fab some stuff up for the bed mounts. After doing a search last night it seems like the 2 kits was the way to go, I will go check out what he is dealing with pretty soon.

And of course I will snap some pics!

I'm trying to get info on how many body mounts that he is going to need, I'm not sure if he is going to replace all of them or just the ones that are shot.


I told him to do them all, they have been shot for better than 25 years already.

If dude still has all of the bolts and hardware, that might be a viable option.

Looks good, I worry about that 45 down in a damp environment rusting away. I think you should let me bring it up here to Montana and take care of it for you! That is one awesome rig!
