I have searched the archives and have found a few articles on body lifts. I've heard all of the pros and cons. I've seen where to buy them and even what materials to use for a diy job. I just can't seem to find any info on what to do with the auto tranny gear shift. My truck is an '88 62 with OME medium springs, OME anti-inversion shackles and 33x10.5 mt's. I have visions of re-gearing and stuffing 36" swampers. Any help with the body lift?

Body lifts arent necessarily the voodoo that some people make them out to be. That said I only like 1" body lifts for an application like yours.

Ifn you went spring over you wouldnt need a BL anyway.

Yeah, SOA would solve it but I want to be able to go back to a mild lift when I decide to sell. Highly modified rigs dont bring much money here in Mississippi. My question is what to do about the auto tranny gear shift. Anybody messed with one?

why only 1"

Hi HZJ60 guy,

Why do you only like 1" body lifts for situations like his?

Thanks!

I just dont like seperating the body from the frame that much on large heavy rigs.

1" lift

Thanks HZJ60 guy. I've heard that said by others too.

do you have to do anything with the tranny shifter with just a 1 to 1 1/2 inch lift? :bounce:

Ive never had to do anything with the drive train levers when only using a one inch lift.

Thanks for the info, have you ever made your own B/L? If so, what materials did you use?
