That orange rig is also my favorite. Does anyone know how much that rig was shortened? When I get another rig, I would very much like to cut it that much.

looks to be 14". At least that is how mine looks with 14" removed from it.

The orange one shows the way Toyota should have made it from the factory. The long butt is the only thing I have against my rig.

Yopper,

Who made this one ? http://www.rooney.org/tlc/bobbed/60withgates.jpg

Awsome sheet metal job and the truck looks modern and fantastic. I would love to have a shop and do this some day. BTW, can the interor of 60s be made to resist water leaks from the outside when the water line is just below the windshield?

The guy is on mud . Do a search for Stepho.

guess I can add my starter pics

So what do these bob-jobbers do with the gas tank?

fuel cells or other smaller tanks ... going to use a J@#P tank right now in mine and put propane tanks in it later

Fuel cell is one of teh biggest headache for me. If I relied on an under rig tank I would be limited to something that hung down a bunch and only contained 15 galls..

My plan so far is to cut a hole in teh bed and basicaly make a tanks that fits inside and outside of the truck. Gott a buddy that is gonna build a T shaped tank (the larger portion of the T basicaly fills the entire bed area behind the seat (3" tall so not too much room lost) and the lower section goes 9" down. Plenty of clearance and about 28 galls of fuel..

Fuel cell is the last major hurdle..

I could probably spark the motor tomorrow if it was not for that..

My favorite bobbed 60!!! Is one of the champions of many cups in the AWA4x4 challenges, it has front coil springs, SOA rear, 350injected motor, and a lot more mos...

Not sure who's it was originally

This is a photochop of a picture I found a while back. It shows approximately how I wanted mine to look. Canopy will be removable and rear doors will only be half-doors for access.

You don't have any more specs of that truck, do you?? I would love to know more, such as the front suspension setup, the number of inches that it was bobbed, the front bumper manufacturer, etc. That truck is gorgeous!

By the way, there are excellent videos on that site.
