BMW e60 Seats Retrofit?

Hey all,

Trying to think what I'll be doing with the interior in the future and a good price came up for a pair of e60 seats. I know people have done e46 seats. Wondering if anyone had advice/thoughts. I know they're powered, but if I ran a 12v supply to the seats would I be good to go? Thanks ahead of time.

I did E36 seats, they sat too high for my liking.

One 12v 20amp circuit ran the controls, I never hooked up the heaters.

Somewhere a couple of years back in my build thread I went through that install, and then last winter I went back to the OEM seats.

My OEM seats need to be recovered. Why'd you switch back?

The beamer seats were too tall in the ass, they sat somewhere around 4" higher in the seat.

I had the under seat fuel tank to contend with, if you don't have that you're good to go.

Yeah, I've got the stock setup for the gas tank. I guess I'll look at recovering OEM.
