Blind spot detector - after market, anyone try one?

My wife's newish Mazda has a great blind spot detector which makes it much more pleasant to drive long distance. I'd like something approaching it for my '99 LC. I saw this on Amazon:

Would be a great add on feature for these beasts. Major blind spot on the rear passenger.

For four bucks per side, you can get excellent stick-on mirrors at O'Reilly...

As soon as something moves out of view on the regular mirror, it shows up large on the blind spot mirror. Works great!

Sure, the stick-ons are ghetto, but they give a great view up to the middle of the front doors...
