I am sitting by a campfire of all places, at Mueller SP not far at all from Colorado Springs.
After all they have been through I am pleasantly shocked they are allowing campfires.
Have they lifted any burn bans up in SD?

Nope. Sucks monkey ass.

Sitting here in the middle of nowhere on a mountain listening to harley fags roaring up and down the road.

Sitting in a roadside pulloff watching a big storm pass to the north near our campground.

looks like a great time. Lovin the no doors look for all of you. keep the pics coming.

Sp the 40 pulled the trifecta of sheared off rear axle bolts, ineffective fuel pump AND a bent right steering arm. John towed me for about 1/3 of the trail but then we noticed the steering arm and the fact it was slowing everybody down. So the 40 got left on the trail for the night and once I get it off the trail, I will relenquish any honey badger status I might have earned driving it out by renting a truck and trailer or tow bar to get it home. :(

Solid day of wheeling! Hot but some awesome trails. Event is turning out to be a lot of fun.

Are there any local Cruiserheads you can ask for spares? You only need the steering arm and fuel pump to get home. Or buy a cheap 12v fuel pump to get home then replace the mechanical pump. You might be able to adjust the tierod to work with the bent steering arm (or bend it back - use a highlift handle to gain leverage). If you were there long enough I could FedEx the parts you need... Yer quittin' too soon! :p

Bill would have that s*** fixed like McGuiver. Just give him a file and 15 minutes sitting at the camp fire.

No camp fires alowed, so it would take him at least 45 min.

Like Luke said don't give up yet post up on here and see if there is some local help.

Got the electric fuel pump going to getcher out. Getting her trailered tp Rapid City in the morning and remting a 10' box truck and a tow dolly to grt her home. Rather work on on it in my own garage without worrying about having a vehicle to get me the 1000 mikes home.

On my way home now. This blows. That's a really beautiful area and the trails are a lot of fun.

Just got home. Woof. 19.5 hours without shutting off the truck.

Really sad to leave. Great place. How was the rest of the wheeling?

I found a little bit of excitement last night. TORC series was in Joliet!

Other than that, just lots of packing our s*** up to move this weekend.

Home. 20 hours in the driver seat but I'm back in one piece. Very happy with the 80 right now, I have some things to work on, and have some new ideas to try, but it took me a thousand miles from home, wheeled for a week, and got me home with no breakage.

Awesome trip, I will work on getting my pics up tomorrow after I clean the truck, I have a ton.

Welcome back. How was that last day of wheeling? Calamity right?
