Hi guys i have fitted 35s to my RHD bj70, to clear the guard on the front i swapped the springs around which gave moved the diff forwards but now the issue is that on full lock the tyre rubs on the pitman arm from the steering box. Does anyone have a solution for this? I have adjusted the steering stops all the way out but its not enough.

Wheels are 15x8 -22

Thanks

Hello,

What is your tire width?

Anything over 10.5 in. will rub.

It is better to move the front axle 30 mm (1 1/16 in.) forward when using 35 in. tires.

Tyre size is 35 12.5 15

Turning the front springs around to move the diff forward has caused the issue. Not sure how much it moved forwards as i didnt measure it before but probably about 30mm?

So theres no solution? Unless i move the diff back to original spot and see if it can clear the back side of the guard?

I would run something bigger or at least try adding a 10mm spacer, I would think -22 is a smidgen further in that you want.

I was trying to avoid going any wider but seems its the only solution for now.

Got any friends with 35s on 16" wheels you could try?
I don't speak offset, but you need the 16s to be 3.5" backspace, or you'll need a 1" spacer for them to fit.
