You've set the bar extremely high, great job and in so little time.

What's with the side windows?

I'm awaiting sliding window weatherstripping from australia (mud member dancar helped me out with this)... for now I used plastic to cover it up from dust... kinda dusty in the workshop because of people sanding etc.. I expect this weatherstripping to arrive half of august, so that will probably be the last thing on the list... :bounce:

update!!!

I've painted the new 16" toyota spoke wheels ivory white as the roof.
Took the rims to the tire center today (sorry, it was a landrover garage), and got myself 5 BF Goodrich AT tires , size 235/85 R16 (31.75" x 9.25" x 16")

I think they look sweet... No money yet for a 2.5" lift, so clearance on the rear section is kinda narrow.. but I think it will work for now.

enjoy the pics!!!

here the you see the difference between the original sized tires 205/80 R16 (29" x 8.75") on split rims and the new 235/85 R16 on the white toyota spoke wheels.

Wow, the 44 looks great with those wheels! Your making me homesick looking at your cruiser. I haven't seen mine in over 150 days!

I feel your pain bro...:crybaby:
all 44 owners share the same love... and pain..
when will you both reunite? :)

update!

I did some test ride the last weeks, unfortunately the cruiser would only run for a few miles, then loose power and sometime even stalled. After waiting for ten minutes, the problem seemd to be gone, but the it started all over again. After a long search for air in the system, i found the problem: my fuel tank was severely rusted and therefore blocking the fuel lines and filter.

Fortunately, with the help of fellow Mud member Troopie, I found a company that specializes in cleaning and coating rusted fuel tanks... So This week I dropped the tank, a brought it away... will be done and better than new in about 2 weeks...

In the emantime I also sanded and painted the frames of my sliding windows. After a long search, Fellow Mud member Dancar has send me 6 meters of sliding window felt run in the right size, which will arrive soon..

So roughly estimated, the cruiser will be ready to go in the beginning of September!!!
