I have a question, where exactly does this gizmo attach to? Does it mount to the inside of the steering box? Thanks

It’s black and I think it goes on the far post on the glo plug assembly. I’ll take picture, it makes sense to go there. The starter has the battery lead and the trigger wire and I think that’s it unless you can get a
Picture of your set up. Very much appreciated btw. Added picture where I think the black wire goes

Hey Rob, I meant to come see you this weekend but I had in-laws and I was fighting for time to work on the LC. It’s coming leaps and bounds now, but next week I’m off for 3 weeks so I will definitely come see you. I have a bag of small brackets that I need to find a home for on my engine lol

ok, so I’m back plugging away. I’ve had a couple of setbacks... namely I cracked the rear heater line trying to install it and my edit motor won’t actuate. Heater line is easy but the edic issue is more involved. When I hook up the sender my oil gauge moves more than half way with the ignition on. I haven’t test fired it yet but I have cranked it. Fuel tank is still out as I need to finish installing the seats.
my question is, should there be voltage to the low oil pressure sender? I have voltage to the large round pressure switch so it’s either pooched or ? I will also recheck my two grounds . Somewhere I have shop manuals but it’s been so long that I am on my 2nd computer.
any checks that I can try or suggestions to get the edic to cycle is appreciated

i pulled the fuel relay apart and it clicks when I hook it to up to the low oil pressure sender but it doesn’t do anything when I cycle the key. Looking for some experts on this system. Edic is quiet too and doesn‘t cycle when the key is turned on

Problem with your edic:
in order
1: check ground contact motor edic and check fuse line
2:connector edic contact failure ( check the connector(s) )
3: bad contact inside the circular strip contact because old grease ( in the motor) clean and change the grease
4:electrical box control edic out of order ( must be changed)
5:electrical motor edic out of order ( must be changed)

intresting full documentation but in french

I have power and ground, fuel relay clicks when I hook up the low oil pressure switch wire. But is it supposed to Audibly click when you turn the ignition on?
I looked at the French website and my phone gave me an immediate warning so I backed out. Not going to risk getting my phone corrupted.

Ok
I’m figured it out. I took the EDIC apart and checked everything, cleaned the armature and brushes. Replaced the grease and then test the actuator. I grounded the body to negative and used a gator clip to go to M (white wire) and....nothing. I couldn’t believe it. So I took the jumpers off and hooked them up again to double check (same way as before) and bingo it worked. Reassembled the fuel relay cover and reinstalled the EDIC. Turn the key and it actuated. I’m super pumped.
