had my rear seats refinished this week, had to do for the zebra striping wasnt doing it for me and needed it anyway. kept the same stitch pattern.

thanks fellas, its been a long time coming, restoration is coming along. one of the brackets on my front 60/40 split bench was broken and someone rewelded and it looks like cr** so I am trying to get a LX front seat set from a buddy of mine that has an 82 LX in GA. If not I might go with late model FJ40 buckets for the front and rdone in same material and stitch pattern

Did you have to fix/repair/replace the padding as well?
I have the same seats (1982 BJ42 LX RHD) in similar condition to yours (before the refresh). I've talked with Doug (dentdepotsales on eBay) about makding some new covers for me, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I just took them to a place that redoes auto ulpohlestry(spellcheck?) and they take the old cover off and make template from it, sew up new ones in fabric of your choice put some padding over your old padding and then its all finished.
