I was thinking that but I think the truck is already to wide
And i don't mind using what i have now I'll up grade latter
Can't do everything in one shot lol
As long as it clears for now and it's safe ya go for it.
But having a wider track is good for a tall rig for stability, especially when wheeling. I put a 60 series front with the ifs widening kit, and an 80 series full float on the rear. Wms to wms is 63"...a stock 40 is 55". I believe leaf spring 70 series axles were the same width as the 40's, 20mm wider on other models.
I only have one pic of the rear brake set up I'll try to get some more next weekend
Looks like the 4 poston calipers won't work on the rear with the rim size so will have to up grade latter on
hey guys here is a small up date on the progress this week on my truck
rear axel in the location were it will be with the struts in place to see were the frame will be notched
Well looks like there was good progress this week on my truck
My mechanic got the suspension all tacked in and truck sitting on its own weight
Next week he will be welding all the rear suspension up
I think the hight is alright but I would not mind another 2" lower
What do u guys think???
My mechanic just dropped the truck on the ori's bump stops to see if the tires will rub and have to do any body trimming
Looks like the front will get a small trim on the fenders so there will be no rubbing
Other then the front having to be trimmed the rear is fine looks like I won't have to trim anything back there
Kinda happy about that
Just went to check my truck out at the shop
He has welded up the rear axel and all the strut boxes
I like how the rear axel turned out
I think next step it pull out engine one last time and paint front strut mounts and finish welding what's left in the engine bay
After that should be wiring up engine
Here some pics of the rear axel all pained and welded up
