I put a leather steering cover, and began to build the door handles...

Hello my friend. It's a good idea indeed but i wanted something more classic and handmade...Instead of all the work of making the door pull handles would hit the easy button for a replacement. 75 FJ40 Toyota changed to a pull handle that was flimsy on the ends. 84 model finally replaced those with a solid handle. Those continued on in the 70 which were not offered in black but grey was a good match. Ambulance door uses the same handle with the same spacing as previous years which matches the side doors.

Bought some handles from a member in Canada a few years back. The black one are either dirty or painted black. They are actually gray. The other handles are the same spacing as the over the door handle on the late model 40 series.

Door header handles for reference.

Bottom hand is from a 60 series which are soft and bent down and stay when used.
Nice idea!I made mine out of 1 inch tubular nylon. Hot rodded in holes for the screws and added a washer to pull against.
