1995 Toyota Land Cruiser: $17,500 obo: Unlocked

It’s a sad day but I am selling my 80 series. With a 6 month old and life changing I just don’t use it anymore. I really hate to let it go with all the time and money I have invested in it but it’s time to let it go. Please feel free to message or call with any questions you might have. Must be able to pickup in Birmingham, AL. This thing as A LOT of upgrades. I have provided a link to the build thread on ih8mud that I started in 2019 to see more pictures and the full write up. See list below. I’ve but 20K miles on it in the four years I have had it.

I so wish you were not clear across the country as this is exactly what I am looking for. Great upgrades, well maintained, rust free, 1995 to 1997, at a fair price. I suspect you will have zero issues selling this.

Good luck

Thank you! Find out what that plane ticket cost and we will work something out!

Price? Or did I miss it?

If it was triple locked, I would look into plane tickets. I do realize 80 series without locker is very capable but not as capable as 80 with triple lockers.

If it was local, because it is an awesome car, I would be interested. Just not interested to freight it across the country and have to deal with Ca import/emissions.

I completely understand.

Truth be told, from someone who has owned a factory locked 80, I’d rather add air lockers to a non locked 80 and not deal with the electric lockers.
What do you think about aftermarket e-lockers? Worse than arb air lockers?

edit, didn't mean to hijack this thread. Good luck with the sale Steve, trucks looks BEAUTIFUL.

...hey steve,
...any chance of some more photos, underneath the car, interior (do you have the 3rd row?), and the engine bay...

I’ve read that prices are down 30% year over year. Just what I’ve been reading. I’m waiting it out like a lot of other potential buyers I presume are doing the same. I don’t trust prices on BringATrailer. Unless something unbelievable comes along I’m gonna see what the market does. I’ve got 25k burning a hole in my pocket for the perfect 40, 60 or 80 series.

I must have just listed this at a bad time in the year. Haven't had one person come look at it yet. I have dropped the price to $17,500.
Please call or text if interested.

Put it on bringatrailer with good pictures after detailing the truck (including the engine bay) at no reserve and it’ll probably sell for more than your asking if you can wait a month (Their lead time To getting an auction live) Although I’ve had luck with mud in the past, it isn’t the best place to list your truck and certainly shouldn’t be the only place. I would argue that bring a trailer is the best if you are competent enough to present the truck well and post thorough comments and a run down of the truck-which you are clearly capable of.

Yours looks like a solid truck and if someone were to buy a cheaper 80 and do the repairs and maintenance your truck already has done to it at retail labor and parts at a shop, they would be into their truck for significantly more than your asking price. Good luck and don’t give it away.
