I went a few rounds trying to decide which front bumper to put on the BEAST.

Love my Slee shortbus but would rather not have the tubes that go to the far ends of the bumper.

Talked to Luke and he was accommodating about a discount on his new bumper, but I really did not feel like messing with modifying it to lower it down to the frame rails.

So I went with a Binksfab bumper like the one in the pict below. It comes raw steel and needs to be powdercoated. I am thinking about doing something other than black. Maybe something closer to the dark gold color of the LX's lower panels.

Thoughts? Have you seen anyone who did this? Look good? Bad?

I LIke the clean look. Im sure youll have an easy time selling a Short bus with no use on it.

im thinking you take the short drive over to CBT in it and take me for a ride this week?! Its ready to drive, yes?

Wish I could. Headed to Texas Wed-Fri. Back this weekend though.

I guess, but it seems like less of a hassle and $$$ loss than selling what you have and getting something else, with shipping, that also needs to be coated... unless I'm missing something. :meh:

The ShortBus bumper is on my 96 LC. I am not replacing it. The new bumper is for my LX.

Well no suggestions came in for colors other than satin black. So satin black it is...

Dropped raw bumper off at AZ Powdercoat this afternoon. Should have it back in a week or so...

Looks beefy and is well constructed. Welds are purty and corner grinds are very clean... Good craftsmanship...

How much did this bumper cost? I like it!
$900 + shipping via Fastenal for $150 + AZ Powdercoat $85. After seeing how nice it is and how well it was assembled/finished I am glad I did not go with a kit.

So roughly the same price as the Slee shortbus but different enough to stand out from the crowd. Of course I have to take care of the powdercoating but since AZ Powdercoat is right down the street its not an issue.

if you should decide to sell your shortbus, I want first dibs :bounce:

Do you have any more info or pics of this bumper? The web site is pretty vague.
