We stock a great deal of Bilstein for the older applications (4x/5x/6x/7x and some 8x) but I've really never entertained it for the 100/200 as there are plenty of great options out there from OME, Dobinson, Tokico, Icon, King, etc and anything else is just an answer in search of a problem for our customer wants/needs. Happy to revisit of there is demand but to-date we've sold hundreds of suspension kits for the 200 and never had someone ask about Bilstein :D
Maybe it’s because it’s such a new kit (just released last year) that there isn’t as much buzz around it?

Could be the case.

It’s here!!
now to wait for the UCA’s... this is getting exciting!

Nice! I’m excited to hear/see more. Curious - why did you decide to get UCAs & what did you go with? I read & assumed factory worked well.

I went with the OME UCA’s. I know that most people aren’t doing UCA’s but I want to go up to the top perch which will get me a 3” lift. I haven’t read about anyone going to 3” let alone 3” without UCA’s.
I usually try to avoid things that aren’t necessary but in this situation, I didn’t want to risk it and because I plan on keeping this rig for a long time, it just made sense. I could justify the additional $560 especially once I saw that the install is not too hard, decided to take the leap.

also, I liked that the OME UCA’s were not excessively adjustable (SPC) and not ones that required regular maintenance like the Total chaos ones.

I got my order today too! No UCA for me though since I feel I'll be ok at perch 4 with stock. Plan to do install myself.

nice! I plan on doing the install myself too. I went out and tried to break the KDSS bolts loose b/c of all the scare threads I’ve read. Thankfully they broke loose easily. I might do the rears this weekend then the fronts next weekend.

I'm planning on going here to do the install myself Stews Garage - https://stewsgarage.com. Seems like a full service garage with all the tools available.

That’s awesome - look forward to seeing how it turns out! 🍻

Man but at those rates!? In average I bet a non-mechanic takes twice as long, and those rates are about half what a shop bills for labor so it’s a wash. The only way this makes sense is if you love DIY

Agree, that is super cheap. I wouldn’t bat an eye at that cost.

Well I do love DIY as I assume many of us here do too....also, knowing that you've done the work yourself and having some sort of a sense of accomplishment and knowing you've done the work as properly as one can. To be honest, I'd tackle this at home with the tools I already have BUT I figured I wanted to use a lift and use a proper spring compressor. Most shops quote 4-5 hours of labor too and being a former Boeing mechanic, I figured I could knock it out in a similar time frame.

I've been following all this with interest. I have a 2021 LC heritage. I can only find Bilstein part #s for the 2020 models. My question is are the Bilstein part #s the same between the 2020 and 2021 LC Heritage models ?? Thanks

After a delay caused by the Texas Snowpocalypse, I finally got my lift installed [Edit: Bilstein shocks and coils all around]. I'm really pleased with how it turned out so far. I'm taking my truck out to Big Bend this weekend, so I'll be able to report how it does on some of the rough stuff soon. My initial impressions so far are similar to what others have said--decreased nose dive when braking and less body roll, but not overly stiff and rough.

Front shocks are set at the 4th perch. I ended up with 2.25" of lift all the way around. The third row seats have been removed. Here are my measurements (measurements from approx. center of hub to wheel well):

Before After
LF: 19.75 22.0
RF: 20.0 22.25
LR: 20.5 22.75
RR: 20.75 23.0

I've got an Ironman premium front bumper and 12,000# winch on the way. I'm curious to see how much the front will drop with another 200+ pounds of bumper and winch on the front.
