Not a Big Red update, but a Penelope Cruiser one. I figured since I'm using some of big red's parts it kinda fits in this thread as well.
Decided to switch out tires to the one Big Red originally had. And decided to see how the BBQ grill looks on it.
Getting her ready for round up so finished up some offroad lights wiring and a few maintenance items. Anyway here are random pics.

Round up came and went. Was fun. Though I did have a fuel pump issue on the second day. It got fixed enough to wheel. Replaced it with a high pressure pump when i got home and now the rig runs like it wants to race.
The next day a tornado hit two of my properties, luckily one tenant only had minor injuries.
Now I'm at the airport flying Lubbock to pick this up. Will be building it for my son.

The Dirty Avocado made it home after a 350 mile drive. Overall it was an impressive drive for a 4 cylinder from the 80s or even late 70s, but i will be getting rid of the carburetor.
The neighbors are loving the used Toyota car lot i have going on.

Fixed this stupid leak with thicker aluminum foil. Took it for one of the last drives before I ship out. Such a rocket.

Does anyone know off the top of their head if the fj62 AC condenser will fit in the 85 pickup?
I have a new one in big red that I don't use, I'm thinking of deleting it, making room for a large push fan and oil cooler.
I'm not at home at the moment so i can't eye ball it.

Well, my deployment started and so has my itch to dream up a million new things for my trucks. With lots of white space and downtime, I'm beginning to research some upgrades.
For Big Red, I'm looking at deleting the AC condenser and adding an oil cooler. Right now I'm looking at these parts.

I also plan on adding a large push fan to the water radiator. That will be in addition to the mechanical fan and the other two electrical pull fans. The idea is to never let it overheat like it did when I drove it to Colorado.
For the Dirty Avocado, I'm looking at getting this kit.
Will most likely get the 4 inches in the front and 5 in the rear. Might have to regear to 4.88 and add a lunchbox locker in the rear. Debating is 35 in tires is the way to go or not.
For Penelope, I'm just looking to add a 220 amp alternator and maybe a new pulley to stop the belts from squealing. I'm also debating on if I should delete the inverted leaf springs and add these instead. Looking at the 20 in travel ones.
I'll be getting 40 in tires on her with the Beadlock wheels I already bought.
For Blanchette, aka Lil Red Riding Hood (Porsche) I'm debating on which AC system to install in it.
This is the beginning of a longish deployment so I may change my mind several times. I'm also looking for feedback, if you guys see a better way of doing things let me know.
