Are they still in the motor, or have you removed them? If you have them pulled, you could at least see how many holes the nozzle has.
Still in the motor. Once I can move a little better I'll pull the injectors and check.

This mother's day make sure you put the kids to work. After all, they are the reason you're celebrating.

So my hardshell roofnest finally showed up today. Wanted to say thanks to my great friend Indy for helping me hulk it up on the taco. Couldn't not have done this on one leg by myself. In fact he did 95% of the work on it. Can't wait to take it out soon and try it.

Very nice!

Mike, do you fit in there? The box looks small next to Indy in that one pic.

LOL!

We can cobble together a hand-activated clutch for you using some of my old mountain bike parts.

Just to answer some questions from folks and to close the loop on the pedal commander that I installed in the Tacoma. I was able to drive it around town yesterday for about 30 miles. I went through most settings and I'm extremely happy with how quickly the engine wakes up now. It went from feeling anemic to driving like it's a V8. For those of you who don't know, there's a lag in the Tacoma and it's a very conservative tune, so you never really feel the full power of the engine. It also deletes the governor that limits you to or around 3500 RPMs when in 1-3rd gear ( not sure how it is on the Automatic drivetrains). It felt like I could burn out the clutch on the highest setting when accelerating the first time. I'll likely use the lowest setting while in 4wd or 4lo. The last thing I need is the truck lunging onto a rock. I can also control which setting I'm in via the app, which makes it a little more convenient. This is just a first impression, but I'll post up more follow-up remarks on this as I use it more. Supposedly eco mode can save up to 20% of fuel usage. We'll see how accurate that claim is in the next few weeks.

On a separate note, I don't feel the weight of the rooftop tent when taking a turn, so I'm happy with that purchase as well.

Small update on big red. The noise I was hearing from the front of the engine turned out to be the fan hub bearing going out. That will be replaced soon.

I started driving the Porsche a little more and about a week ago I lost all clutch pressure and had to limp it home. Turned out the slave cylinder which is deeply hidden had gone out. I ordered a new one and my friends came over. What was supposed to be a one hour job ended up taking over 5 hours. I think Indi installed and removed it over five times and we bled the heck out of it before it could actuate. But after all was said and done I went on a 40 mile highly spirited drive and I'm still smiling.

Here's Indi starting with the floor board removal. This was before e realized it was just the slave cylinder.

You can't see him, but he's under there.

I couldn't thank everyone enough as I sat there with my broken foot watching them work on it.

Looks like we'll be giving these injectors a try.
