well, I did read it all and I didn't see any specific plans for the 7th and/or 8th.

Campground? Meeting place?

so it would seem that no one wants to go wheeling on the 8th but would rater go on the 9th so that said, i guess if no one wants in on the 8th i will join you guys on the 9th

Unfortunately it looks like I am not going to make it...maybe next time.

 I was looking forward to checking out your rig with 37's. We'll catch you next time.

IMHO it's too hard to coordinate so many folks w/different dates and schedules. Just keep your eyes out for other LC's running Holcomb and chances are it's one of us from Mud...

I is hard to coordinate multiple groups but SoCal 80's was formed to get together like minded people with 80's to get out and wheel together. IMHO it is very enjoyable when we are able to do that and worth the extra effort to co-ordinate.

Sounds like this threas is due for a patented Mo' mega post with all the who in, where, and when. ;) I am not going to lie, Mos organization skills make it a lot easier. Not that Mo should be the one to do it all the time. just my two cents and I am not even going on this run

Current Plans- Oct. 9th

The plan as it now stands:
South Orange County Meet, 6:30 am at OSO and the 5frwy (chevron/76). Drive to the Fawnskin firestation to gather the rest of the flock, 8:30am.
Hit the trail, running Holcomb Creek and another (still not selected),
Bring a lunch for the trail.

what would be the best campground to be in the day before to partake in that trail run?

Hanna Flats is closest to Fawnskin Eric. Campground is about a mile up the road from town.

If we are going to run Holcome Creek again are we going to enter through Crab Flats again or are we going to run it from the other direction?

That's the place. Running it the other direction is the current plan.

Not sure what the second trail plan is but if we run John Bull, it would make sense to run Holcomb "backwards" starting at the rock garden like last time. That would put us very close to John Bull when we finish.

We could also run Holcomb the other way and try to banzai Dish Pan Springs and leave through Arrowhead. Report is that Dish Pan Springs is a great trail and it has been closed for quite a few years, might be fun. We could also run Dish Pan only.

Just ideas, that may be too much for one day.

If somebody happens to be in the Firestation at the designated time but no 4wd (but a Nissan Altima on 55s) can they ride shotgun with somebody from the 80s group? ;) :D

You are more than welcome to ride with me and Tillie. You can even have shotgun:)

I would like to tag along with you guys if you can handle another 40.

A Cruiser owner is a Cruiser owner, you are defintely welcome. You just can't make our big old wagons look bad though. :D
