Did they put the same motor every year? I was looking to buy one but the ones I test drove were weak and feel underpowered. . Did they make a more powerful one?

The 2010+ trucks had a newer version of the 1GRFE with the dual VVT-i and that supposedly had a increase in HP.
The Manual trans trucks may feel peppier as well with a better gear ratio, but they are also full-time 4WD so there is some additional parasitic loss with that.
They are not fast lol. But if you are driving modified ones they will be even slower....anything but the stock-size P-metric tires really can hurt the giddyup as well.

Compared to my 55, 40 or diesel 77, the FJC is a rocket.
Mine is lifted with 34" tires but it will still get out of it's own way.
No, it's not a Hellcat but it is adequate for everyday driving and great off road.
No problem cruising down the highway at whatever illegal speed you want (within reason).

07-09 has more torque .
negatable difference between the years, the later ones did make a little more power but ive never really been able to tell the difference
Also, consider most of those advertised peak HP/Torque values are measured near redline RPMs which most of us never reach.
If I remember correctly, peak hp is with high test gas. Most run regular gas as there does not seem to be difference in MPG when using high test. But if the extra house power is more important to you, them run it with 93 octane gas.

So is the SC for certain years? And is it oem? How to get A SC?
Call Magnuson give them your CC number and you then have a SC

Mine is TRD, it was available as an aftermarket part and dealer installation too between 2007-2009. Nowadays Magnuson sells the same supercharger with a different tune (not Toyota ECU flash anymore): FJ Cruiser - https://www.magnusonsuperchargers.com/category-s/125.htm
