Best Roof Rack Ideas?

Looking for the best roof rack for my 1994 FZJ-80. I would prefer something half size that will mount over the top of my stock POS. I have heard the Baja Racks are having some serious QA issues (is this true?). I have searched and read most the posts. Photo's of your recommendation would help.

I am going back and forth between the ARB and Diamond Rax. I am not sure if the ARB will be too tall to get in the garage. Diamond Rax makes a low profile that looks very nice.

After months of evaluation and consideration, I finally ordered a GOBI Stealth roof rack today for my 1994 FZJ-80. It will take 4 weeks for delivery but hopefully will be worth the wait. The price is something that took me a long time to come to terms with and finally decided to just - do it!

Go to a parts yard and grab a rack off an xterra. Buddy works for Nissan and gave me one. Had to buy some bolts and drill some holes, Viola! And it's already faded, so the color match is almost spot on.

I have a Prinsu rack and love it! It's definitely my first choice but there are other good options depending on your needs. Personally I don't like the basket style racks and prefer a flat platform.


If there was no Prinsu rack available I would probably go with something in this order.
