Sorry to post this, when the obvious answer is likely, "use the search function."

I'm in a bit of a time crunch and need to find a good source for a distributor cap, rotor, plug wires, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Good question

I don't have the answer but i saw the following listed on ebay am now I'm curious to see recommendations from mud members.

1
eBay Motors: Tune Up Kit Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62 88-90 3F (item 270291832544 end time Dec-22-08 13:26:20 PST)

"Time crunch" and "best place" are like fire and water in that sentence.
Time wise I would say go to your local Yota dealership, they usually will get the parts the next day but you'll pay retail.
Best place would be Cruiser Dan at American or Shannen at Champion. Great discount but you have to wait on the postal system.

I've dealt with Dan at American Toyota.... always found what I needed. I would imagine they have different shipping options avaliable.

Dan gets my nod, but he is up the road from me. Knowing where you are located would help. John Hocker at Sierra Toyota in AZ is also a good source, especially for 60/62 stuff.

Any dealer will do. If you're looking for tune up stuff or gaskets, they usually can get it within 2 days. If it's an odd bearing or something that's not typically regular maint, like idler shaft bearings , then it's going to take longer.

That's my experience anyway.

C-dan is the best deal I've found, I'm in Oregon c-dan is in NM. He also knows Cruisers, if you can tell him what you need for exactly what cruiser, he'll get it for and to you.

Thanks Guys. Been working two jobs and barely time to scratch my, head. The FJ started surging lately and I need it to run, especially when it snows. Surges or bucks & jerks, (yeah, I know, very technical) mostly at around 2000 rpm. I really don't want to trust it some one who "claims" they know FJ's.

I'll give Dan a call, thanks for his number.

I'm in Denver by the way.

I've bought from both C. Dan and 1sttoyotaparts.com Same prices. Both great service.

Mike,

You might want to hook up with the Rising Sun folks. Great bunch of people. I think there is a dealer in Denver that takes care of them. You can find them in the club section here at MUD.

LINK to Rising Sun

Toyota of Dallas in Tx, Toyota of Midland in Midland, Tx (Frank) both give nice discount and quick service.

While you're at it, pick up a couple of EGR inlet gaskets. Search for "bucking" and "surging".

Dan is great to deal with, by the way. So has been my local dealer when I need something quick. I would recommend staying OEM on almost everything.

I did order from Dan today and while I was at it must have been on the right track cuz I ordered the egr ferule and gasket for the smooth tube at least. .

Thanks, I will do a search for bucking bronco, I mean & surging. My kids will hate me if I fix it. They like the way it reminds them of a school bus.
