Hello all .. not that hard core .. but ..

My first R&P ( still running strong in Tencha ) came in a Presision Gear Box .. was a 4.56 set couple of years ( maybe 2 ) back I realize by reading multiple threads and web info that most of the gears are made by the same Co .. since then everytime that someone here ask to me to buy a set of gears I bring Yukon boxes .. but been not totally sure about the real brand of the gears ..

So my first question it's about are Yukon the most popular gears out there . ? and my second question will be, there is any chance to buy 'em directly from Yukon or at least with a good price .. ?

I was dealing with good prices gears from Sun Fire OffRoad ( Scott ) ..

thanks !

David

Gears

Yukon will not sell direct, but they own Randy's Ring and Pinion. Buy from Randy's and you are buying from Yukon.

My 2 cents-Superior gear has them all beat. Easiest set up, tightest tolerances and best warranty.

Just don't use 4WP crap. Genuine Gear is genuine garbage.

Looking for Coilovers Shop & advice

Helpping a mate down here with a 92 mini now in a 3RZ swap and SAS .. probably 80 axles and coilovers all around ..

I was searching through google at pirate but found a few threads with coilovers on front but not all around .. does any one knows a thread or ho have done that before . ?

thanks !

David

i just bought fox coilovers for the front of my rig....did a ton of shopping around and comparing prices and poly perf. had the best price with free shipping hands down, plus the set up the valving for me and installed tender springs for free.....get on the pirate4x4 vendors section and contact them that way with what you want

or....(and let me save Mace the trouble of writing this).....save a ton of $ and get FOA's....they are cheap as dirt and apparently just as good as all the other big brands for some reason that i can't understand?

GEARS

Well, I may be biased but I'd say Nitro Gears for sure. I'm a cruiserhead myself with vast experience in differentials. I've done over 5000 diffs, and overseen about 20,000 over the last 12 years or so, and have used 'em all. Toyota and land cruiser applications are our A movers, this allows us to move enough volume to use better technology and better manufacturers and know what we are getting because we develop and test them in house. Whereas, most of our competition toyota stuff is kinda considered oddball so they tend to switch what product is being used based on cost and availability. Just search around here and I am 100% confident that the Nitro gears are the best. Many of the Premier Land Cruiser specialty places also are stock offer the Nitro gears. Slee, ACC, Cruiser Outfitters, Proffitts Cruisers, Metal Tech, MAF, and more.

From an OZ comp guy:
"Hi Guys, Thought you might be interested in this. I just had a call from a customer who does tractor pulls with a Toyota 9.5” rear end and has been putting 1000hp through the rear and he reckons the Nitro gears are the only gears he has found that have been able to stand up to it.
Good stuff hey, Cheers"
