Does anyone have a bookmark to share of their favorite, or best documented/detailed V8 swap? Would be awesome to compile them.

There are quite a few on here and on the web for places like Expo Portal or Pirate. Thinking of swapping for overland? Maybe on your drive back east stop at a couple shops like TorFab or Goerg at Valley Hybrid or ACC or NCFJ and chat them up. Great sources of info.

Yeah, def! TorFab did my 5.3 swap

A buddy of mine is doing a V8 swap with his dad and I wanted to give him some resources. More fun to ask folks for the fav threads than to search I suppose

Yeah yeah...no doubt, I know how to to use the search function brotha and I've come across good ones that way naturally. But I asked the community if they have their favorite bookmarked. Is that cool?

I think Cam's thread is a good example and I was just looking for two old threads that I can't find in the search tool for some reason. Its good to recall that the word "Vortec" does not just apply to 5.3 or 6.0 engines. but also to some model 5.7's as well and even other non-v8's.

I'll post up a link or too when I can find the threads I'm talking about and I would have posted cam's too, since his thread fits the bill too.

There were some other threads that helped me with my swap, but I can't seem to find them now...I bookmarked them as well but I don't know if everything migrated over when the forum changed back-end software. In my case ...the swap was 5.7 based..... most of the new swaps are 5.3 based and some with 6.0, although I've not seen that many 6.0 swaps, most likely based on the fact that 5.3 engines are everywhere.
