I've replaced the clutch once before with an aftermarket and it only lasted 3 years before it started going out again . Who makes the best clutch out there? Is it worth going oem?

OEM would be my choice;)

That being said, I ran an Exedy Stage 1 on my 22RE 4Runner, no issues and the full kit costs a little less then replacing with everything OEM.

I got 225k out of two Centerforce Dual-Friction clutches behind my 22R, and I'm not sure that the first one really needed to be replaced. I just did it because the engine was out being rebuilt and I didn't want to mess with it again.

One thing that did happen to me was that the pivot divot in the T/O bearing fork cracked and that felt like the clutch was going out when it wasn't.

Both were 'grabby', but I adapted shortly and rarely noticed them after that. Shouldn't be sliding the clutch anyway, that's what gearing is for.

I still have my Centerforce DF on my 93 truck and pedal feel is about the same as OEM, I do feel a slight grab when going past 3500 RPM.

Marlin crawlers clutch is a good choice as well.
