Looks good!

Looks good!

thanks, we are rebuilding the throttle body tonight since I have class all day and cant make it to the shop. we are dropping the intake on tomorrow first thing in the morning before the snow hits since the truck is on the slab outside. on Saturday we will be filling it with coolant, oil and do a final check of everything so that we can run it.

Tbi rebuilt intake on, exhaust manifold after lunch and wrapping up everything to run it tomorrow

Looking good. I wish I knew how to do that haha

Thanks!
Its all nuts and bolts with some torque specs thrown in.

Rebuilding engines is a lot more fun than suspension in my opinion. I crushed my hand with a leaf pack when I was swapping springs out.

The chevy V8 is a hell of a lot easier to do than anything Ive done at work

Kwalker - heck yea they are!

Where is your TBI computer? I am thinking of converting mine over just for fun

The computer is under the fuse panel and right below/infront of my pedals and steering column.

Do it, more power! When it works at least haha

Well motor runs now. Bent a pushrod in the process because of an errant intake bolt so I pulled some off my old block. Truck runs great and Is regulating the temperature much better now.

Next project will be a weldernator I think. I just need to find an old delco alternator to fiddle with and fab a bracket at work

Pictures! Oh and I stopped by reno toyota and saw the purty 40 in the showroom right near a horribly ugly 2014 land cruiser...

Some notes for myself, timing set to 9 deg advanced and it stumbles too much in gear idiling so im going to pull it back to roughly 5-6 degrees advanced.

Wish I could but got plans with the Mrs. since I was sick all last week and wasnt able to do much. I am going to hit the big T on Friday hopefully for a few hours and see if I can hook up with anything.

Bummer dude it would be fun to wheel in some snow but all the fishin is closed here.

Alright more notes to myself. Timing reset to 5 degrees advanced now and shs running much better with still a little bit of stumbling in gear. so im going to look at adjusting the idle some more in the next few days plus re check my valve adjustments to see if thats part of the issue.

Yeah it would be fun to wheel but just dont have the time right now. Weekends are constantly packed with crap going on, and we don't even have kids. Couldn't imagine what it would be like then!

Oh and I know what your problem is... ITS A CHEVY! :flipoff2:

Bummer dude, we need to get a trip planned soon to do some fishing!

And I kind of really hate this chevy setup at times

very nice 40. not sure about the chrome kick panels though :grinpimp:

Today is a good day. 300 bucks for a set of 4 darn near new 33x12.50r15 goodyear MTRs and a non matching spare!

Plus I got some welding done at work for my on board air tank holder. Now I just need to fit it up and figure out a mounting solution for it
