Belt Molding on a 2016

Has anyone replaced the Belt Molding (I think this is the correct name) on their LC200? All of the belt molding along the driver side started to crack/ flake off on my 2016. Any tips on how to remove the old ones to replace them with new ones? I am surprised to see this issue on a 2016 toyota. I have older trucks with solid molding still in place

Looks like a factory defect. I’d hit up the dealer and see what they say.

On a 2016? My Toyota dealer would tell me to pound sand.

This discussion just prompted me to buy a new set of that trim (in black from the earlier 200 series) while they're on sale. $119 shipped for all four pieces with the current parts promotions posted in a recent thread. I hate chrome.

If the old trim comes off my 2016 without damage, I'd send it to you for the cost of shipping.
