I personally have not laid hands on a 1F carb in many years, but I believe the diameter is identical on the 1F and 2F carb airhorns to aircleaner. They just used different means of securement. I see about photos when I get a chance.

I found my stash. I have a link like that but it's longer than the one in the photo. Maybe you could cut it short and splice it back together at the correct length. I did a search but couldn't find any tube tha could be used as a sleeve, but a weld would probably work. Send me a PM if interested.

I have some left over parts from my conversion back to OEM - I might have that rod, I'll check when I get home. I also ordered this rod on amazon that I think will work for that rod:
