OK I picked up an engine stand today and I'm pretty sure I will need longer bolts to attach it to the back of the engine. What size are the 4 bolts that hold the bellhousing on and how long will i need the new bolts to be to attach it to the stand?

12mm x 1.75 x 30mm long are stock bolts. So you need bolts that are 30mm + however deep your stand arms are. 12mm x 1.75 x 75mm should be fine.

 You can use washers, or even impact sockets as spacers if all you can find are 4" bolts...

well it turns out that cenex only had ones that were 60mm long. THe guy at Napa ordered me some but they come in a pack of 25 does anyone need any of these bolts? 12mm x 1.75 x 75mm

I bolted up the bellhousing after painting and then used the stock trany bolts to attach to the engine stand, after modifiying the mount just a bit. I would only suggest you do this if you can hang the crank pully off a crane for safty reasons. But in a pinch it works.
