Does anyone have local experience with getting their LC’s appraised for value? I’m guessing I’m not the only member who has significant investment in modifications and such with our trucks; wondering if I should try to get an appraisal before incident so that I can negotiate an increase the insured value — dont want to be stuck with KBB value; would at a minimum want to have the option to purchase back etc.

You'll always have the option to purchase your own vehicle. It's yours. It's not like they can take it and refuse to give it back.

Yeah I've never seen an insurance plan that won't let you buy the vehicle back. As far as stated value I don't think all companies do that. Most that do will let you state your own value and raise your rates accordingly.

Best place to start is to call your company and discuss it with them.

Don't you work for an insurance company??? HA! Since you don't have enclosed, locked storage it might take some looking around to find what you need. At least you hav a roof, tho. Keep us posted.
