Unfortunately, I do not have the time, knowledge or resources to rebuild a cruiser, so I opted to hire someone to do it for me. The finished product arrived today, and unfortunately, there are some carb problems, which are do not allow the vehicle to run properly, but since it is a brand new carb, I suspect that it will be a minor adjustment.

Anyway, I thought I would show the new ride, with some before and after shots. It was an old sheriffs car, which you can see in the before pictures (the few that I have). I will try to post some interior shots and engine shots tomorrow or the next day.

It is a 1967 fj40, with a rebuilt 2F engine. A thick coat of wax was applied before shipment, which is slightly shown in the images. Will try to post some more detailed shots tomorrow.

Yes, that is correct. Colt did the job for me. He is a great guy.

he needs to put the bezel on correctly...better fit it before the bezel police come and get ya....or it looks like the bezel sheriff that is :)

Nice job...you are probably grinning ear to ear....i would :)

Very nice.

I have a 66 and there are allot similarities.

very nice... that a Massachusetts plate? where you at?

How come someone restoring a 40 can put the bezel upside down....probably doesn't do many 40s...anyway nice trucks! I dig the 45.

That turned out awsome, congrats

Nice ! Love that color. Earth tones really look good on a 40.

Thanks Guys. The truck is being worked on, for some minor stuff, like a dead animal in the gas tank. As soon as it gets back, will post some additional images of the interior and engine.

That's sweet.I would have a hard time picking but I must say a 45 or a 40 is a hell of a coin toss.I'd have to go home for lunch just to switch out.Nice rigs.

Got mine from Arizona last winter. My computer doesn't show your after photos. Seattle native, but the folks moved us East and I went to Cohasset HS 4 years and hauled boats at the harbor there . The guy I worked for bought a brand new '67 fj45 from Weymouth Toyota. That's the year I moved there. Outa there in '74. By that time the 45 was a rust bucket. Hauling boats from salt water, plowing salty snow in the winter. It was a frikken crime, I gotta say. My mom still lives in N. Scituate. Nice before shots, btw.
