been tweakin' on the sliders, again...... (1 Viewer)

If i have the truck laying on one of the sliders on a rock, then one of the outriggers will touch the pinch weld, but not bend it.
 
Concrete, not bashing your sliders - I think they are cool. Just saying that if there is a vibration, with anyone's sliders, then there is a fitment issue. The issue could be due to using ubolts that are not the ideal length/width combo, or something is designed so it can't be tightened quite enough etc. Just trying to offer up ideas of things to look at.

No offence taken junkster, i agree and that's why i wanted to get to the bottom of the fitment issue. I found out that the front of the right outrigger was just touching the body, so i put a washer on the back of the mounting plate and it's all good now. So the next set i make i'll be sure on all clearances before i tack weld.

might i suggest....

using sheet rubber instead of foam. same priciple but a little more stable from the elements.

I was planning on bending some tube to add the extra side protection like slee and hannahs have.

it's just a copy of george's design. Next set i do will have a couple of custom touches.
