What are you guys using?

I was going to get a Tuff liner from SOR, but I'm afraid it will be sticky. I like that things slide on the carpet when I'm loading and unloading, but I also want something I can pull out and hose off.

I'm thinking about one of those hard rubber mats like they cover the floor of your locals gym with. But I haven't been able to find a goood place to order it.

I've recently read good results gotten from rubber mats avail from Lowe's/Home despot. It would, however, be 'sticky' as you put it. Better to find something more semi-flexible plastic that rubber.

Astroturf, my friend. Comes in several colors, inexpensive, and when it gets oily or torn you can toss it and buy another.

Or the $OR cargo carpet, but that's much more spendy & less trailer ghetto.:hillbilly:

Stall mats are are pretty good. Coastal Farm or Tractor Supply sells them. I had a 3/4" mat in my truck bed before I Line-X'd it. May be "sticky" though.

I just bought a roll of garage mat with a diamond plate pattern from Costco for $190. Way more than I needed for the cargo area. It was easy to cut, it is brake cleaner and carb cleaner resistant (I tested it) and it cleans easy.

I also put 1/2" of foam rubber under it so its soft for the dogs.

Can you add pics of this one?

What ever you do, do not let any moisture get under the foam rubber. I put a mat in my 40 and a little moisture got under it and the rust ate the bed out the truck in one year. Simply amazing.

I saw some of that stuff this weekend at Costco and wanted to do the same thing. Love to hear how you like it after a while.

check out pickup truck bed liners, the thick rubber ones at "Joe's" and other box stores. The Toyota hi-Lux mat comes very close to a fit. I've got one over my carpet..thick and tuff..

I had looked at (online only) getting a truck mat or getting some diamond plate floor mat from JC Whitney and also thought about the SOR mats. This seemed like a good deal and I have enough left over to line the Pig when it's time.

Here is a picture:

I used the horse stall matt that was mentioned previously. Really worked well for me. Easy to cut and you don't have to buy a mile of it.

I used an old rubber bed mat...can find them used at swap meets or pay $60 for a new one at most auto part stores. About 1/4 inch thick and very heavy duty.

Good luck!

Textured ABS plastic. You can buy it from any plastic supplier in 4x8 sheets and overlay your old panel as a pattern. You'll use plastic body panel rivets that you can get at any auto supply shop.
I did the whole interior with the stuff....

britklr - did you paint your armrest, door latch and window crank or did you find some in black? May be just the picture, but I'm looking to eliminate all of the brown from my interior and was wondering how that's holding up.

I'm researching all of the interior specific paint, dye, cover options but wanted to ask if you had experience and what you used.

Thanks!

Sorry to hijack.

My original interior was gray, so the armrest and door handle are a dark gray and the door crank is a black so they all blend together.

Hope that helps....

Why do you want to be able to hose off the cargo mat? I think any rubber product will be more sticky than carpet, but not so bad that you'll regret it. The SOR liner material does discolor, from my experience, as I have the floor mats made of this material.
Me, I put new carpet in the rear of my 62 and bought a pickup for hauling dirty crap.:D
