After about 2 years of work (much of it in the body shop) my FJ45 resto mod is almost finished. Painted it’s original color 1966 Spring Green. Thanks to Whitey, Kunzma, Dennis, Jack and everybody else who have answered questions or offered parts. Pics included.

Looks sweet. Congrats and enjoy!
Your bezel is ... um.... different lol. Hard to get that one upside down i guess.

Any details as its obviously not stock?

Spring Green is a great colour. The front axle appears wider than the rear? What's she runnin that necessitates the scoop and quad indicators? I see a modded trans tunnel.. :)

Oh snap! I can fix that.
Found this on a used car lot in central Texas. I knew it was unique but at the time it was tricked out fora teenage boy with his hat on backwards. Jacked up with huge tires, it sports a performance-tuned 327 Chevy engine. Three on the tree turned to four on the floor.
Bed shortened by 16” with custom rear bumper and 8000 lb winch on it. I had to have it lowered 6” to get it into my garage and with the rear diff it needed 37” tires. So the front suspension is 1976 HD 44 widened 2” on either side. Transmission is stock Toyota H1 4 speed. All this was done by PO, who also added modern gauges and switches with large drilled holes in dash. Took me a while to fab a metal form to fill in the holes in the dash.

Overall a bit of work to get all of the switches back in, the electrical cleaned up, rebuild the fuel system and carb, and prep for body and paint work.

I like your rig, unique, has character... especially liked the hood, a totally different idea. Was that yours or the teenager’s ? Either way,....creative ! Loved that chopped rear.
