:censor:!!!! Why does Toyota send all the cool stuff NOT to the US. Aren't we a big enough market for them?

No-we are not a significant market for heavy service components. No diesel, no more solid-axle front-ends, no factory pto........just cup holders and DVD.

Dang! How clean is that?

Butt - the jealous American

Well the chariot had to go in and get smogged. It would not pass since it ahd too much backpressure in the exhaust system.

I think I started a thread on how to tell if a cat was plugged or not. The IR gun did not show a significant variation from front to back. The inside of the Cat had broken up and was all in the muffler pluggin it.

Well with the New exhaust system, it passed with flying colors. Runs way better, but it did not run bad before.

Looks good. Did you get the power issue worked out yet?

How many miles did that MAF rebuild that came in it have?

I have to drive it back up to the shop and remove the transmisison to fix the rear main seal and replace the seal between the T-Case and Transmission.

I will fix the low power issue then.

The engine with the cam had less than 6k on it.

most likely we don't get the "Cool" stuff here is because it appears that in Aus they actually use the trucks off-road, while here I suspect most sales are to people that like SUVs but do not get off the pavement.

I've never really followed why a vehicle that's sold on a history of off-road and utility ....comes with leather, wood-grain, super nice interior (new models).....that you generally would not want to get dirty in the first place. Of course most of the SUVs and 4wheel drive pickups of just about every brand is in the same boat.... all with a nice fat $$$ price.

I supect it's generally a marketing difference. Here in the US the LC is sold to the urban mall cruiser type and in AUS it would appear that they are sold to be used out in the so called "bush"...remote areas.

Sad Day indeed :(
