Adding to that is that when those wheels are re-centered they frequently get a flat plate center. I suspect that this is because there isn't a formed center that fits that is available. A friend of mine went the flat plate re-centering route and hated every minute of driving that truck on the pavement. The unsprung weight made for an awful ride even with Bilstein remote res shocks on it. Clearly not a good choice for a long distance driver (i.e. Western Deserts & Colorado from the Bay area).

USA 6x6 had the pressed centers (made by stockton wheel) But they went under..

there are options coming for the pressed centers.

btw, my 40's got the flat plate centers.. Rides great on the road. But I also paid a lot of attention to getting them straight...

Hum, he's an anal Mechanical Engineer who put himself partly through college doing A&P work. He and a guy from POoR made the centers (& the 'poly' locks) & did the welding. I'm sure that he spent a lot of time getting them square etc. Perhaps there was more trouble in the truck's suspension than expected?

If Stockton made the pressed centers I wonder if they will either do the work (I was told a while back that they wouldn't for some reason) or sell the centers out-right?

Last I heard Stockton will not sell the centers. That might have changed.

That sucks because of the 4 sets of H1 wheels I've built, the centers I got from USA 6x6 were by far the easiest to install.

Stazworks will also do a pressed center but the set I built still was time consuming to set up right.

My flat plate centers from Dean (Performance Cryogenics) held up fine and I beat on them pretty hard. Of course this was on a mini truck with 36s so pretty hard is completely different from other rigs.
These were very time consuming to set up right but I was able to run 75 down the highway with no problems. If the motor could have propelled the truck faster, I suspect it would still have done fine.
