Desert or Rusty, feel free to bum a ride from me! I'd love to see your camera equipt, I'm bringing my Canon Rebel XT. Sounds like this is going to be a photo-expedition.

Appreciate it. I'll let you know. I've got a 20d, which I think is similar to the XT but with a magnesium frame. My normal and tele lenses are L-series 2.8s, heavy glass. If you've got one of their lighter weight lenses I'd like to check it out - this thing is a bear to hike with.

Looks like my bumper is done at the powdercoater, so mine will be driveable and I will have room for someone.

Im OUT!
We have family plans made for that day...

I will be a definite maybe. Depends on how far I get with my front bumper build next week.

BTW, who was the guy on the jumbo grade run with the volvo axles on the 80 series? I cant seem to find his email.

Here's one pic from this morning...great place (Cape Town)...tomorrow we fly North to Londoloozi for the safari portion. Have seen a bunch of 90's and 110's...a couple Hiluxes, a couple 80's and a couple 105's...but LR wins the popularity contest here.

Got to pet a wild Cheetah last night! Pretty cool...and we saw wild Baboons on the road yesterday and a huge flock of African Penquins!

Looks like I'm going to need a ride if you're up for it. Is Washoe Valley on your way, or should I meet you out there?

Desert, I wouldn't count on me for a ride anymore. I got that damned flue thing going around, im chugging vitamin C to try and be healthy for this trip. I'll keep you updated.

Bummer - hope you knock it down fast, this one seems to linger for a lot of people.

It's evil, I was out of it for two weeks. And still have some congestion.

First timer...what are the requirements and what should I bring.
